However, I think the main problem you had was that it's not like Lost Planet 2 or 1. If you watched any videos on the game, or checked out the previews or reviews that sites like IGN or Polygon put out, you'd probably have known that. It's not the same game as those Lost planet trial sucks, and it's not supposed to be. It's like saying, "Why isn't Metroid Prime in 2D like the original? Anyway, like I said, your opinion is a valid one. As a side-note, you shouldn't curse. Besides the fact that it's vulgar, with Valve's Lost planet trial sucks on, it makes it more difficult to understand your post. I cnduo't bvleiee taht I culod aulaclty uesdtannrd waht I was rdnaieg. I have written far too many times over the years about my dislike of strategy games. Having heard Adam raving about Stellaris , heard his amazing-sounding anecdotes of alien encounters and galaxy-wide adventures, and seen the huge excitement amongst strategy fans during its release, I thought: I lasted half an hour. So, yes, perhaps I was leaping head first into a deep end filled with spikes, but good grief, my head began to hurt. I opted for the full tutorial, obviously, with everything explained to me in explicit detail. I was going to bloody well learn something, and I was going to get past my fears and concerns and hang-ups. It wants people that already understand how to play Stellaris. I cannot think of any other reason why the interface should be so hell-bent on making it impossible to figure out how. Tips incessantly popped up over tips, following one instruction was almost always interrupted midway with a demand to do something else. Send a science ship to a planet, I was told. But where should I click to do that? Oh, where to click is stored in this other menu, over there! Right, okay, click on that — and a wall of text conceals the three instructions I need to follow. I obey the first, clicking on another window, and the explanatory window disappears. Send that science ship off and suddenly the entire solar system is a mad mess of orange lines — was that meant to happen? Oh, apparently yes, apparently sending a science ship to check out a single planet has it dart around the place looking at absolutely everything in the most fuel inefficient order imaginable. And this is all after having had to pick a race and start a game via the most extraordinarily complicated...

I'm really confused why there seems to be so much dislike towards this game. I played the demo, and wow, it was really awesome, and I will be getting either that or Resistance fall of man in the near future, so this isn't a "what should I buy" thread since I already know the answer to that and all. I was just wondering why it seems a lot of people are not fans of this game, or is it more just the official reviews that aren't big fans of it? Also, because of its lack of popularity does anyone play online co-op more so since that's what the game's made for? It gets hate because people look at review scores then act like they have actually played the game or base a full opinion off a 5min demo. I'm not sure if people still play co-op since I haven't been on in a while. I really like this game, I've played it twice and I believe it still has a pretty good co op online not sure about the competitive modes. I've wanted it for a while now since I enjoyed the first one so much. Everytime I'm at my local game store I see it and hesitate. There just always seems to be at least one game I would rather buy. I just remembered that this game is made by the same company that made monster hunter, which would pretty much explain the low scores since the critics didn't like those games either. Though, it was funny watching the ign review saying how there's no checkpoints if you die and it's a hard game, which is what everyone praised demon's souls for note, I thought that was a great game. I didn't even know there's an option for splitscreen...

Capcom sent us this brand new and as usual very well done trailer of Lost Planet 2. Commented on Posted by PlumbDrumb I haven't played any type of demo for this game, so I just hope they tweaked some of the more frustrating aspects of the gameplay, like the excessive stumbling which seemed perfectly timed with enemy rocket reloads. Posted by Seth Played the new multiplayer demo - horrible, horrible in every single aspect. Not sure if even want to rent this game now. Posted by bleachedsmiles where did you play the new demo? Posted by 60Hz Played the demo and loved it, don't know whats wrong with stumbling when you get hit or nearly hit by an explosive force, seems to me you should learn to dodge roll Posted by Tinks Question: Something about the character designs and movement, I can't escape it. I enjoyed the alone in the wilderness feel of LP1 which seems to be gone, will wait for reviews on the SP on this one. Our verdict on The Crew 2. I agree, Belgium didn't play well enough. But I hate this kind of football. It would have been great if France won by At least it would have been worth watching. MrWhite Terrible game for a world cup semi final, but France are at least hard to beat, so hopefully they go and win it. MrWhite That's what happens when you've a rubber one in Lukaku, and a clown running about the midfield that was inexplicably put out on the left wing by a clueless manager. It is about winning. But as a spectator, biased or unbiased, it was anti-football. This is something that can't happen in basketball for example 15 Hours ago. KORNdog Either way, again, the results are the same in...

The gameplay is solid enough as long as you're on foot, and the story is well acted even if it doesn't end up being very interesting. As weird and ironic it sounds, given the score, this is the finest game in the Lost Planet trilogy, and the most successful title ever made by Spark Unlimited.
